‎Nestor Perkal est un artiste polyvalent ayant multipli ses activit s depuis les ann es 70. Hij wint een indrukwekkende reeks topkoersen: Parijs-Nice, Milaan-Sanremo, de Ronde van Vlaanderen, Luik-Bastenaken-Luik n de Tour de France. De manierwaarop hij dat doet, voert ons terug naar het vooroorlogse wielrennen. Hij gaat geregeld 100 kilometer of meer in de aanval en wint zware wedstrijden met maar liefst 8 minuten voorsprong, zoals Luik-Bastenaken-Luik of de koninginnenrit in de Tour over de Pyrenee ncols Tourmalet en Aubisque.
