Exhaustive monographie ; elle s'agrémente d'une abondante iconographie in et hors-texte (dont 20 planches). ''L'ouvrage se veut utile aux naturalistes et se propose ainsi de présenter un résumé concis des connaissances acquises sur ces animaux ; indiquant pour chacun ses moeurs, habitudes, emploi, types les plus répandus, les données anatomiques ainsi que la description purement scientifique de ces types''. Coupes élimées. Légers frottements affectant les mors. Petite déchirure en marge du premier feuillet (blanc). Quelques rousseurs dans le texte. Du reste, bonne condition.
