The first plate (plain plate on anatomy) with waterstain, plates 3 & 5 with slight offsetting. The plates are of an exceptional quality and except one all drawn and lithographed by Eugène Levasseur, the colouring was done by Madame Veuve Delarue and the retouches were done by the author himself.
1860 7 hand-coloured lithographed pls, small folio (35 x 27 cm), loose but with the original printed front cover. The complete collection of coloured plates, the 3 remaining plates were plain and depicted the anatomy. Some slight foxing in the blank margins but mostly clean.The plates are of an exceptional quality and except one all drawn and lithographed by Eugène Levasseur, the colouring was done by Madame Veuve Delarue and the retouches were done by the author himself.

Bourguignat introduces quite a few new species of, mainly, freshwater molluscs. Small stamp of Herbert Ant on front cover and first page, margins somewhat trimmed, otherwise a good copy of this well-illustrated work.
1883 44 p., 1 finely lithographed plate, contemporary blind boards.Rare offprint from what is perhaps the first monograph of the Mathildidae. The work includes many new species. Later, De Boury turned his attention entirely to the Epitoniidae. This is an offprint from the Journal de Conchyliologie with new pagination. Boards lightly soiled, otherwise a very good copy.
1912 93 p., 15 fine photographic plates, paperbound (original printed covers). Jean Boussac (1885-1916) was professor of geology. His promising career ended at the battle of Verdun. Boussac is perhaps best known for his first thesis, dealing with the stratigraphy of the Alpine (Nummulitic) Eocene which was published in 4to format, but this second thesis may be more important from an evolutionary point of view, especially with regard to the Palaeogene (in particular Lutetien - Auversien - Bartonien) Cerithioidea. In the rear a short appendix dealing with the evolution of the bivalve genus Chama. Rear wrapper a bit chipped at the right margin, otherwise a very good, clean copy. There is a scarce, 1978 reprint but this is the very rare original edition.
