‎ 1918 Paris, Floury, 1918-1919, 2 volumes in-4° demi-chagrin tabac, dos cinq nerfs titre doré, tranche de tête dorée, couverture et dos conservés. Tome I: Couverture lithographiée, frontispice en héliogravure de Degas ; nombreuses illustrations en noir/blanc et en couleurs de planches hors-texte; interfolié de 15 lithographies de Thornley montés sur papier fort (4), 157pp, (15). Tome II: Couverture lithographiée, frontispice, illustrations hors-texte, dont une lithographie originale, de «Dans Les Coulisses» par Degas (entre les pages 40 et 41) ; (18), 75pp, (25). ‎

‎Édition originale illustrée de très nombreuses planches en noir et en couleurs et de la lithographie originale «Dans les coulisses». Précieux exemplaire dans lequel on a relié à l’époque la suite de 15 lithographies originales de Thornley montées sur papier fort. Cette suite est éditée par Boussod, Valadon, et Cie en 1889. Cette suite donnée par le peinte Georges William Thornley dans un tirage total de 100 exemplaires. Collaborateur et ami de Degas, Georges William Thornley entreprit de publier ces lithographies en 1888 et pour ce faire mit a contribution son ami Edgar Degas dans le choix des œuvres et l’accomplissement de la suite. Cette rarissime suite a été dans notre exemplaire rognée en marge dans les supports afin d’adapter les tirages au format de l’impression. Les lithographies en revanche n’ont pas été touchées. Cette suite n’est connue qu’à quelques exemplaires. ‎
