Neuausgabe der Geschichte der Loreto Kapelle des humanistisch gebildeten Jesuiten Orazio Torellini (1545-1599), der mehrere historische Werke verfasste. Erschien erstmals 1597 oder 1598. - Mit Exlibris des Lyoner Bürgermeisters Justin Godart (1871-1956) auf dem Innendeckel. - Einband fleckig. Papier gebräunt und stellenweise mit Wasserrand. Fliegender Vorsatz fehlt zur Hälfte.

"11. Mainz, Balthasar Lipp, Arnold Mylius, 1599, in-8°, (14/16)nn pp + 397 pp + (7) nn , lacks the engraved frontispiece- this leaf is provided in photostat . Bound in somewhat later ( 17th c.) leather, some small imperfections at the binding but still a good/fine copy. With large gilt decorations on both covers - in the middle the canon scene. All edges gilt. USTC n° 664128. Quite rare. Only 4 copies located in the USTC (only 1 outside the former Southern Low Countries). [ bible ; religion ; Mainz imprint ]."

" Mainz, Balthasar Lipp , Arnold Mylius, 1599, in-8°, (14/16) nn pp + 397 pp + (7)nn pp, ex-library with stamps on the verso of the title. Bound in contemporary full leather, raised gilt spine, both covers with gilt decoration ; the canon scene in the middel with intricate gilt decoration at the four corners. All edges gilt , traces of silk ties. Binding with some wear but rather good copy. Lacks unfortunately the leaf (.:)8 ( engraving). This leaf is provided in photostat. USTC 664128 ."
