‎Summary Studies dealing with inequality in European societies have multiplied in recent years. It has now become clear that pressing questions about the historical trends showing both income and wealth inequality as well as the factors leading to an increase or drop of inequality over time, could be answered only by taking into account preindustrial times. Therefore, this book deals with inequality in the long-run, covering and comparing a very long time span, starting its investigations in the later middle ages and ending before the nineteenth century, the period that marks the beginning of most available studies. Hitherto, urban distribution of income and wealth is much better known than rural inequality. This book intends to reduce this gap in knowledge, bringing rural inequality to the fore of research. Since at least until the nineteenth century the majority of people were country men, looking at the rural areas is crucial when trying to identify the underlying causes of inequality trends in the long run of history.? The book consists of nine original papers and deals with a variety of topics about inequality covering no less than eight different countries in Europe. ‎Nero, en andere stripreeksen van ridder Marc Sleen, maken deel uit van het Vlaams collectief geheugen. Ook na de afsluiting, in 2002, van Nero (de langstlopende reeks - 216 afleveringen) ging de waardering voor de meermaals gelauwerde, nu 90-jarige, auteur onverminderd door - onder andere in de vorm van een Marc Sleenstichting en een Marc Sleenmuseum. Vanzelfsprekend koesteren de fans de nalatenschap van deze laatste grote figuur uit de generatie Vandersteen-Sleen-De Moor, en jaarlijks verschijnen ook herdrukken van verhalen en gagreeksen. ‎De rijke verzameling middeleeuwse beeldhouwkunst van het Rijksmuseum heeft vanouds een sterk Nederlands karakter. Minder bekend is het internationale deel van deze collectie, waarin Duitse en Franse sculptuur een prominente plaats heeft. Dit onderdeel kan weliswaar niet bogen op volledigheid, maar het bevat wel een aantal absolute hoogtepunten uit de geschiedenis van de westerse beeldhouwkunst. De zogenaamde Elsasser Kerstgroep behoort tot de belangrijkste vijftiende-eeuwse beeldengroepen uit Midden-Duitsland, evenals de albasten Annunciatie van Tilman Riemenschneider. Daarnaast is de laatmiddeleeuwse houtsculptuur uit het Nederrijnland rijk vertegenwoordigd met werken van Meester Arnt uit Kalkar, Henrik Douverman en Arnt van Tricht. ‎Très bon état pour cet ouvrage autoédité de souvenirs. Jean Guilbart était fabricant et marchand de figurines de plomb, rue du Pont-aux-Choux, à Paris. Passionné par le Premier Empire, il contribua notamment à la revue la Gazette des Armes. Ouvrage désormais rare dans sa version d'origine, qui passionnera les amateurs de soldats de plomb, ainsi que leur technique de fabrication.‎
