‎In korte tijd wist Nederland te herstellen van de enorme oorlogsschade. Na een moeilijke start van schaarste kwamen er tussen 1945 en 1965 meer dan 2,5 miljoen nieuwe bouwwerken bij. De bijbehorende binnenruimten waren veelzijdig in vormgeving voor wonen en werken, leren en kerken, winkelen en ontspannen. These actions led to Nanye-hi being named Ghighau (Beloved Woman) of the Cherokee, a powerful position whose duties included leading the Women?s Council and sitting on the Council of Chiefs.
