Edition originale et unique édition de cet ouvrage, divisé en deux parties, concernant les cheminées et les moyens dans lesquels elles peuvent être améliorées, surtout pour corriger les cheminées fumeuses. Le traité est complété au début d'une "Dissertation sur les Cheminées des Anciens". Dans la deuxième partie, les moyens de corriger les cheminées sont empruntés à différents auteurs et architectes comme Albert Léon, Cardan, Delorme, Serlio, Savot, etc. L'illustration se compose d'un frontispice représentant la rose des 16 principaux vents ( vents cardinaux, vents collatéraux et vents troisièmes ), et de 20 planches rempliées, offrant des modèles et des dispositions de cheminées. Coiffes arasées, coins émoussés, bon exemplaire très pur et solidement relié.‎
