This study examines the bronze and silver coinage of the kingdom of Scythia Minor in Dobruja at the mouth of the Danube River, a Scythian successor state that emerged in the second century BCE after the breakup of Scythia Magna. It is based on a corpus of over 1,500 coins, more than ever before, and draws upon scholarship in nine languages, including hard-to-find sources from Bulgaria, Romania, USSR, Ukraine, and Russia. The much-debated chronology of the six kings of Scythia Minor (Kanites, Tanousas, Charaspes, Ailis, Sariakes, and Akrosas) is determined through literary evidence, inscriptions, die linkage, shared monograms, coin hoards, and counterstamps. Metrological analysis distinguishes four denominations, plus the alterations and debasements of the weight standard during the troubled reigns of Ailis and Sariakes. Fifteen counterstamps that appear on Scythian coins are attributed to the local Greek poleis of Callatis, Tomis, Istros, and Dionysopolis. An inventory of four hoards and 47 findspots of single coins identifies the mint site, Dionysopolis. En 1870, Louis Gh mar, le c l bre photographe bruxellois, fit sortir de terre un Mus e Fantaisiste pour y exposer ses propres pastiches de toiles contemporaines renomm es, ainsi que le premier tableau blanc monochrome de l'histoire : Toile Blanche / Peinture de l'Avenir. En perp tuant la tradition des expositions et v nements pr -dada stes de la Soci t des Joyeux des ann es 1850-1860, les persiflages de Gh mar ont joyeusement ouvert la voie aux tendances artistiques du XXe si cle. Bruxelles a ainsi dam le pion Paris. Ces performances artistiques d jant es conna tront leur prolongement dans les Great Zwans Exhibitions de 1885, 1887 et 1914. Un mus e pop-up, des tableaux, vivants ou non, une marche des pouchenelles , des trouvailles scientifiques loufoques, des pamphlets, des mystifications, des fake news ; tout cela a permis ce petit pays de d velopper un humour et une mentalit surr alistes. ‎Donatella Bianchi's work cannot easily be categorised under one particular movement or another. First and foremost, it is her way of facing the world from an artistic point of view. Works by Donatella Bianchi are usually imbued with a dreamy atmosphere, but are at the same time connected to her life. She regularly spends time staying in the remote wooded regions of rural Auvergne. The impressions that the area has made on her are all to be found in her drawings of trees and forests, which are produced in Chinese ink and pastel. Nature shows its rough and unruly side in the series entitled Harmonies secr tes (HS) and Les t moins immobiles (TI), in which we mainly see only bare trunks and branches. They seem to be looking back at us, a little in the way of anthropomorphic beings. From time to time we see an eye socket or an open mouth amid the weathered, defenceless stumps.
