Ma la verà particolarità di questo esemplare è il "fore-edge painting" o "disegno a scomparsa", un dipinto sul taglio delle pagine che appare solamente tenendo il blocco di pagine tra il pollice e il resto delle dira e piegandolo in modo da allargare leggermente il bordo. Appaiono i dipinti dei personaggi descritti nell'opera. Da chiuso il volume sembra un normalissimo libro dai tagli dorati. Questo rende quest'opera unica. Questa tecnica era molto popolare verso il XVIII secolo per raggiungere il suo culmine fino all'inizio del XX secolo. In buone condizioni. Copertina in pelle con titolo in oro e decorazioni a secco ai piatti in discrete condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Lievi rotture alle cerniere. Legatura in buone condizioni.
