‎Serge Vandercam (Copenhague, 1924 - Wavre, 10 mars 2005) tait un peintre, photographe, po te, c ramiste et sculpteur belge. Vandercam est n Copenhague, mais avait la nationalit belge. En 1949, il devient membre du mouvement artistique Cobra, o il se concentre principalement sur la photographie abstraite. Il participe la grande exposition Cobra Li ge en 1951. Apr s sa p riode chez Cobra, Vandercam a commenc faire du travail expressionniste abstrait dans les ann es 1950. Il a galement r alis quelques films et s'est impliqu dans la c ramique et la sculpture, travaillant d'abord le bois puis la pierre. En 1956, Vandercam re oit le Prix de la jeune peinture belge et en 1958, il re oit le premier prix du Festival d'Anvers pour son film Un autre Monde. Dans les ann es 1960, il a v cu en Italie pendant une courte p riode. En 1997, il remporte le prix Sabam des arts plastiques. ‎

‎Paul Delvaux (Antheit, 23 september 1897 ? Veurne, 20 juli 1994) was een Belgische kunstschilder. Hij werd vaak ondergebracht bij het Belgische surrealisme, maar aanvaardde deze verwijzing niet. Hij vond deze interpretatie van zijn werk te eng, te formalistisch en vooral te oppervlakkig. Hij wilde gewoon "een po tisch realisme" cre ren en daarin bereikte hij een ongekende hoogte en internationale bekendheid.‎
