Nederlandsche Vogelen is het eerste standaardwerk over de avifauna van Nederland en is een van de mooiste en duurste werken uit de geschiedenis van onze boekdrukkunst. Dit standaardwerk van Cornelis Nozeman en Christiaan Sepp verscheen oorspronkelijk in vijf delen tussen 1770 en 1829. Het wordt nu in een band heruitgegeven en aangevuld met een uitgebreide inleiding en een index met de historische en moderne vogelnamen. De vijf delen samen bevatten 250 prachtige, oorspronkelijk met de hand ingekleurde gravures die de vogels zo veel mogelijk op natuurlijke grootte afbeelden, vaak met hun gevederde partner en soms met nest en eieren. De gravures werden verzorgd door de Amsterdamse amateurbioloog Christiaan Sepp en later door diens zoon en kleinzoon. Cornelis Nozeman, een remonstrants predikant verzorgde de tekstuele beschrijving bij elke vogel. Hij was ongetwijfeld een van de grootste vogelkenners uit zijn tijd. Zijn werk werd na zijn dood voortgezet door de arts en bioloog Martinus Houttuyn, en het laatste deel werd geadviseerd door Coenraad Jacob Temminck, de eerste directeur van het tegenwoordige Naturalis in Leiden. over : Nozeman en Sepp. Cornelis Nozeman, een remonstrants predikant, was ongetwijfeld een van de grootste vogelkenners uit zijn tijd.
