Tous étaient juifs (au moins de naissance) mais ont vécu leur Judaïsme de manière fondamentalement différente. C'est cette parenté, cette nature du lien que Maurice-Ruben Hayoun tente de mettre à nu dans une synthèse originale sur une religion culture multimillénaire qui se veut aussi un mode de vie, un peuple, une nationalité.
