‎Carte dressée lors de la Guerre d'Indépendance, illustrant le siège de la ville de Charleston par l'armée britannique en 1780, issue de la Vie de George Washington par John Marshall. Officier pendant la guerre d'Indépendance, Marshall devint successivement membre de l'Assemblée législative de l'État de Virginie, du Conseil éxécutif, du Congrès, et secrétaire d'état. Il finit sa carrière comme président de la Cour Suprême. Bel exemplaire.‎
