‎Calcutta B.K. Khanna 1925 Bien qu'elle ne soit pas datée, cette édition attrayante date d'environ 1925. Plaques de cuir (ou de faux cuir) marron avec titres dorés au coin de la première plaque. Jolis papiers de fin verts avec les dessins d'Adhikary. Ses illustrations sont présentes sur chaque page. Un frontispice en couleur et une autre planche en couleur, ainsi que huit illustrations monotones (bleues) en pleine page. Il y a également 100 pages de quatrains, chacune agrémentée de décorations. Soit un total de 110 pages. Les planches sont légèrement frottées. L'intérieur est propre et bien rangé, avec un petit décollement de la reliure. Un livre rare. Nous n'avons trouvé aucun exemplaire en vente, aucun document historique, ni aucun détail dans FirstSearch / Worldcat (bien que cet éditeur ait publié une autre édition, tout à fait différente, des Rubaiyat en 1944). 75 x 115 mm‎

‎First edition thus. Although undated, this attractive miniature / macrominiature edition is circa 1925. Brown leather (or faux leather) boards with gilt titles to the corner of the front board. Attractive green end papers with Adhikary's designs. His illustrations, which are a mix between Middle Eastern and Indian, are on every page. A coloured frontis and one other full colour plate plus eight monotone (blue) full page illustrations. There are also 100 pages of the quatrains, each of which are embellished with decorations. So a total of 110 pages. A little rubbing to the boards. Internally clean and tidy, with fractional loosening to the binding. A scarce book. We can find no copies for sale, no historical records, and no FirstSearch / Worldcat details (although this publisher did another, and quite different, edition of the Rubaiyat in 1944). 75 by 115mm (3 by 4œ inches). .‎
