The publication appears on the occasion of his most recent solo exhibition at the gallery and highlights a number of important exhibitions and special projects for which Manders has been invited at home and abroad from the 1990s to the present. Since 1986, Mark Manders has been working on what he calls "self-portrait as a building". His oeuvre - consisting of installations, sculptures, works on paper and drawings - takes on the metaphor of a fictitious building, subdivided into separate rooms whose precise shape and size cannot be defined.
