Binding in very good condition and internally a very clean copy.The complete “Gastropoda” of this renowned work, which is much more than just a translation of a work of Linnaeus. In fact, most observations are original or from other sources, and for an 18th-century Dutch work it is surprisingly informative and highly readable. Maarten Willem Houttuyn (or Houttuijn) (1720-1798) was an excellent scientist and author.
