This volume includes some wormlike groups, echinoderms, coelentarates and mollusc groups like Cephalopods and Nudibranchs. This is the famous Houttuyn edition of Linnaeus's work. In fact it should be regarded as a separate work based on that of Linnaeus with Houttuyn as the author.

Binding in very good condition and internally a very clean copy.The complete “Gastropoda” of this renowned work, which is much more than just a translation of a work of Linnaeus. In fact, most observations are original or from other sources, and for an 18th-century Dutch work it is surprisingly informative and highly readable. Maarten Willem Houttuyn (or Houttuijn) (1720-1798) was an excellent scientist and author.
