Édition dite encadrée, la dernière publiée sous la direction de Voltaire ; elle ne porte pas de titre de collection, mais seulement une tomaison indiquée aux faux-titres.Faite après l'édition in-4° de 1768, les planches sont pour la plupart une réduction de celles de cette dernière, gravées par Martinet et Châtelain, d'après Gravelot.74 planches ainsi composées : frontispice, 2 portraits de Voltaire et de Henri IV, 10 figures pour la Henriade par Martinet d'après La Tour, 38 figures pour le Théâtre, 21 planches pour la Pucelle, 2 portraits par Martinet (Charles XII et Pierre-le-Grand).Bel exemplaire complet de tous les errata signalés par Bengesco (à défaut de celui tu tome XXXIX). Quelques menus défauts à quelques coiffes.Bengesco, 2141 ; L'Oeuvre imprimé de V. à la BN, 158 ; Cohen-De Ricci (1042) donne une collation erronée des figures.
