1923 156 p., numerous illustrations, 4to, paperbound (original printed covers).This is volume 3, part 1 of a rare series on the natural history of New Caledonia and the Loyalty Islands (or Îles Loyauté) which are associated with France. Nowadays they are regarded as biological hotspots. The present work contains six contributions: acari (by Berlese), locusts (by Willemse), chilopods (by Ribaut), two smaller entomological contributions, and non-marine molluscs (by Dautzenberg). All are well-illustrated and many new species are described and figured. Very light spotting to the wrappers, otherwise a very good, clean, uncut, copy.
