" The file consists of; a copy of the tender, 3 quotations offers, an eight page report in the form of a technical & commercial price comparison by the company's director Emile Massart to the board of trustees, correspondence of 8 letters with the winning company & related papers. Interesting file which offers a rare insight into the market of paper-making machines at the beginning of the 20th century. Offers were received from J.M.Voith in Heidenheim, (in-4°, 17 pp typed script in company's printed wrapper); H.Füllner in Warmbrunn (Schlesien), (in-4°, 15 pp type script in company's lithographed wrapper, added a 18 pp handwritten translation by the Parisian representative (H.Everling) and two letters.; J.& E. Chantrenne in Nivelles (B), in-4°, 12 pp handwritten, winning company, with 8 extra letters concerning the quotation. The actual price comparison was made on October 3rd 1906, in-folio, 20 pp (of which 8 written) in blind wrappers. Added are a life-insurance contract; The company went into receivership shortly after the purchase."
