(8 ff.: la feuille de titre avec vignette gravée de l’éditeur - l’épistre à l’empereur - epistre aux estatz de Flandre - prologue - extrraict du privilège) + 10 ff.: Table des argumentz + 1 f. errata + 1 f. blanche) + 340 ff. (donc 680 pages), reliure d’époque plein veau, dos à quatre nerfs, pièce de titre en maroquin rouge, entre-nerfs richement oné d’or.

Fine copy of the rare first edition of Pierre d'Oudegerst's chronicle of Flanders, written and published in french. The book is published by the Plantin Press but printed by an Antwerp collegue of Plantin , as explained in the commentary by prof. Voet (item 1841). This collegue was Jehan Withage ( or Jan Withagen or Verwithagen). The Plantin Press was at this time engaged with the publication of the Polyglot Bible. Voet 1841.
