(1856), in-8vo, partly coloured decor. lithogr. title illustrated with b/w circular "Panorama, genomen op den Kulm van den Rigi + IV + 502 p. + 1 leaf + 12 colour-lithographic plates (views, engraved by Ch. Binger) + 1 engraved map (Zwitserland 1856) with handcoloured borders of the cantons (engraved by D. Veelwaard after P.H. Witkamp), foxing to title and the plates, red cloth binding, spine richly gold tooled, covers blindstamped, gilt central piece on front cover, spine & joints partly split with some loss, top and bottom of spine a used, corners bumped. Still a very good copy.‎

(Goldau before the avalanche) / 3) Lucern en de Rigi. / 4) Het Rütli aan het Vierwaldstättermeer. / 5) Meyringen. / 6) De Aarval aan de Handeck. / 7) Het Weilhorn en het Wetterhorn. / 8) De Val der Sallenche. / 9) Het Klooster op den St Bernhard. / 10) aan den Col de Balme. / 11) Chamouni en de Mont Blanc. / 12) Het conciliegebouw te Constantz. The lithogr. title shows a half page circular panorama (roundview) taken from the Kulm of the Rigi. + the folded map.The first edition was published in 1842, and one other edition, in two volumes in 1883. The first edition was published in 1842 and 1843 in two volumes. The lithographic plates are showing: title with panoramic roundview in circle, title in colour / Zürich / Goldau / Lucern / Rütli / Meyringen / Aarval (waterfall) / Weilhorn - Wetterhorn / Sallenche / St. Bernhard / Col de Balme / Chamouni en de Mont-Blanc / Constanz + the folded map.
