(1856), in-8vo, partly coloured decor. lithogr. title illustrated with b/w circular "Panorama, genomen op den Kulm van den Rigi + IV + 502 p. + 1 leaf + 12 colour-lithographic plates (views, engraved by Ch. Binger) + 1 engraved map (Zwitserland 1856) with handcoloured borders of the cantons (engraved by D. Veelwaard after P.H. Witkamp), foxing to title and the plates, red cloth binding, spine richly gold tooled, covers blindstamped, gilt central piece on front cover, spine & joints partly split with some loss, top and bottom of spine a used, corners bumped. Still a very good copy.

(Goldau before the avalanche) / 3) Lucern en de Rigi. / 4) Het Rütli aan het Vierwaldstättermeer. / 5) Meyringen. / 6) De Aarval aan de Handeck. / 7) Het Weilhorn en het Wetterhorn. / 8) De Val der Sallenche. / 9) Het Klooster op den St Bernhard. / 10) aan den Col de Balme. / 11) Chamouni en de Mont Blanc. / 12) Het conciliegebouw te Constantz. The Swiss mountains and many other beautiful sites with illustrations and a coloured map (Witkamp del. - Veelwaard sculpt.) and 12 colour lithographic views. The first edition was published in 1842 and 1843 in two volumes.
