Complete. Old half leather, smooth back with two labels. (Small damage at top turn in, but still a good binding). First edition of the translation by Harduyn. A copy of one of the most influential emblem books ever printed. The plates are by Boetius à Bolswert. From the library of C.P. Serrure, with his name in manuscript on the flyleaf. First edition of the translation by Harduyn in Dutch of the most influential emblem books ever printed.: Pia desideria by H. Hugo.
