‎A paper game of 63 numbered squares, spiral, anti-clockwise, centripetal, advertising margarine produced by the company 'Solo' founded in 1929 in Belgium. French version. On the left the rules of the game. In the centre the inscription: 'To the fruits of our colony'. There are quite a few nicks and closed tears to the edges, most are now repaired with archival tape. A touch of darkening to the paper. Jeu de L'oie or Het Gasspel, a kind of goose game, but a colourful piece of Belgian advertising for Sola Margarine. Circa 1930. 460 by 640mm (18 by 25Œ inches). The Game of the Goose or Jeu de l'oie is a type of board game where two or more players move pieces around a track by rolling a die or two dice. The aim of the game is to reach square number sixty-three before any of the other players, while avoiding obstacles. Large colour printed sheet, has a little light creasing, blank to verso.‎
