‎Publiées à l’initiative et sous la direction de Robert Laffont, Paris et Jaspard, Polus et Cie, Monaco, 1964 à 1974, 42 volumes. Edition illustrée. Table des matières à la fin de chaque volume. In-8, pleine toile crème, sous rhodoïd. Dos lisses avec titres, auteur, tomaison. Imprimerie Presses de K.G., Lohse à Francfort. La plupart des toiles sont salies sur les bords inférieurs et supérieurs. La toile des 4 derniers volumes est plus claire. Quelques rhodoïds sont marqués par l’âge (manque ou déchirure, le volume 31 a perdu le sien). Les auteurs ont tenu à illustrer ces œuvres à leur manière. Illustrations en noir et blanc et en couleurs. Cette édition a été imprimée sur vélin offset des papeteries Heinz Uhlemann KG. Les plats de la reliure ont été faits sur un dessin d’Henri Matisse et le dos a été conçu par le Maître-relieur Mercher. Le dessin des gardes de tout le tirage, spécialement fait pour un ex-libris des auteurs par Henri Matisse, est ici reproduit avec son empreinte sur un buvard.‎
