Comme aussi leurs Ayres et superficies, Planchers et Plat-fonds. Des Portes, des Fenestres et Croisees ; et de leurs Ornemens. Des Cheminees, des Escaliers, et de leurs diuerses manieres. Ensemble des Combles, et de leurs couuerture. Le tout ainsi que nous pratiquons en France. ‎

‎Paris chez F. Langlois, dit Chartres 1645 1 vol. relié 2 parties reliées en un vol. in-8, plein parchemin ivoire, dos à nerfs, pièce de titre de basane fauve, tranches rouges, 114 pp. et p. 115-229. Première édition par Le Muet de sa libre traduction de Palladio, adaptée au goût français. L'ouvrage se décompose en deux traités, chacun avec leur page de titre et leur frontispice, mais avec une pagination continue (interrompue dans la seconde partie par une série de 15 planches, pourvue de leur propre numérotation). Le volume est illustré de 2 frontispices et 72 belles planches gravées, avec quelques figures dans le texte. Il manque deux planches de la seconde partie : la planche n° 5 (verso blanc) et la planche p. 228 (verso blanc). La deuxième page de titre est signée "Gr. Huret fecit", 3 des planches de la deuxième partie sont signées par Jean Marot à qui nous pouvons vraisemblablement attribuer les autres gravures de cette partie. Le graveur du texte et des planches de la première partie reste à identifier.Pierre Le Muet (1591-1669), ingénieur-architecte de Marie de Médicis, de Louis XIII et d'Anne d'Autriche qui a notamment dessiné l'église de Notre-Dame-des-Victoires et l'Hôtel Tubeuf à Paris, fut le premier à diffuser Palladio en France. Malgré une importante usure au dos et aux nerfs, très agréable reliure de l'époque en parchemin recyclé (avec d'ancienne traces d'écriture latine à l'encre noire). Mouillure claire aux trente derniers feuillets.‎

Reliure postérieure de demi-veau havane à coins, dos lisse orné de filets gras dorés, doubles filets maigres dorés, pièce de titre de maroquin havane, titre doré. ‎


‎ Edition originale rare. Premier tirage des 25 (sur 25) planches gravées (dont double-page). L'iconographie est complétée par un frontispice gravé signé Gaetano Testolini Vicent. Belle impression sur papier fort. Texte en français suivi de sa traduction (avec page de titre séparée) en italien. ''C'est à Scamozzi que l'on doit la redécouverte de ces planches après la disparition de Palladio que ne les avait jamais publiées ; seule une partie vit le jour à Londres en 1732.'' (Kapandji). Graesse VIII, Trésor de livres rares et précieux, p. 108 - Brunet IV, Manuel du libraire et de l'amateur de livres, 322 - Quérard VI, La France littéraire, p. 568. Reliure présentant frottements et manques superficiels. Angles émoussés. Faiblesse affectant les mors (demeurant cependant solides). Plissure affectant le premier feuillet de garde. Rousseurs dans le corps d'ouvrage (principalement marginales). Infime perforation en marge des feuillets liminaires. Tâches affectant les fonds de cahiers des planches. Cerne angulaire très claire affectant les planches. Lesquelles demeurent cependant dans un bel état de conservation. ‎
