Ichneumonologia Britannica, the ichneumons of Great Britain. A descriptive account of the families, genera and species indigenous to the British Islands. I-III.
1903-1908 First three parts (of five) in three. Original near uniform green (embossed) cloth with gilt lines and title on spines and front covers of each volume with a distinct wasp in gilt (the same as depicted in each frontispiece). Outer ends spines volumes II-III with somewhat worn.Important work on the British Ichneumonidae by the Suffolk entomologist Claude Morley (1874-1951) with extensive descriptions and fine illustrations. These are the first three volumes of this work which was privately published over a long period. Library book plates on front paste-down, stamp on title page of volume I, boards rubbed with some damage to the hinges. A few pages a bit spotted, contents otherwise good.

Ex library Rupert Stenton (with his small stamp) and Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie (with their stamp and decommission stamp), some slight wear and some staining on right margin of front cover volume one, but a good sound set in the original publisher’s bindings.Important monograph of the British Ichneumonidae by the Suffolk entomologist Claude Morley (1874-1951) with extensive descriptions and fine illustrations. Privately published over a long period, this work is scarce in a complete state.

Two parts in one. 109 [55, 54] p., a few text figures including a map, 17 plates, contemporary red morrocco over marbled boards. Original printed wrappers bound in. Speckled edges.Two systematical studies with a visual emphasis on habitats (the photos show landscape and habitats). It is unusual to see both papers combined. Binding rather worn, frond board starting, preliminary pages a bit age-toned, otherwise a good copy.
