1869-1873 Three volumes in one (complete). xvi, 310, viii, 319, viii, 320 p., somewhat later (ca. 1900) brown half cloth with green marbled boards, author/title in gilt on spine. Library stamps and some foxing on endpapers, else very good copy of this rare work.This series was part of: J.W. Meigen’s ‘’Systematischer Beschreibung der bekannten europäischen zweiflügeligen Insecten. (Achter Teil oder zweiter Supplemenband). In this three volume work Loew described no less than 565 new Diptera species!

Part 1 and 3 in contemporary hcalf with gilt title on spine, part 2 paperbound (chipped plain covers, uncut). Some scattered foxing (especially in parts 1-2).
