1800 xvi, 309, [1] p., square 4to, later white half cloth over marbled boards. An important contribution to coleopterid systematics, however, only the first part. According to Horn-Schenkling "Mit Taf[eln] sehr selten". A rather poor copy, with repairs to the title, and some dampstaining. The two plates are early photocopies. Horn-Schenkling 11174.

1801 260, [1] p., paperbound (contemporary plain covers). Very rare first part of this early German entomological journal. After the introduction of the journal, this first half of this volume contains primarily papers on Coleoptera (mostly written by Illiger): Nachtrag und Berichtigungen zum Verzeichnisse der Käfer Preussens (94 p.) / Ist es richtiger, Genus durch Geslecht oder durch Gattung auszudrükken? (10 p.) / Neue Insekten (44 p. - mostly Coleoptera and Hymenoptera) etc. etc. One of the greatest rarities in entomological literature published by the famous Johann Illiger (1775-1815). No plates have been published in this journal.
