1829 Three parts in three. xxxi, 2913 p., one large, folded table and 2 lithographed plates. 8vo (20.2 x 12.2 cm), uniform 19th century pebbled cloth over marbled boards, paper label with written title on spines. A nice set of this rare standard work on this interesting group of wasps, privately printed by the author in Pressburg, probably in low numbers. Many new species are introduced in this work. A supplement, "Ichneumones genuini europaei auctorum mihi haud noti aut dubii" is included in the rear. Gravenhorst (1777-1857) was professor at the Frankfurt and Breslau Universities and this is one of his major works. Some light (and less than usual) foxing in the text, else a very good clean and complete set. Horn-Schenkling, 8365; Junk, Bibl. Col., 3966.

1922 74 lithographed (most are chromolithographs) plates (numbered 133-191 + 15 a-numbers), loose with caption in original green printed covers. No text, only captions to the plates (but there are no captions for 14 a-numbers and that of plate 160 is missing. One caption with a repaired tear and last plate with small (repaired) marginal tear, but both captions and the nice plates are clean. Sold as a good collection of all plates to volume V (= last volume in the series).
Further notes on Dyscritina, Westw., with an appendix on the species of Dyscritina reared by Mr. Green.
