1861 vi, 444 p., 2 lithographed plates. Contemporary half cloth over blind boards. Spine with gilt lines and title. An early revision with detailed descriptions and several new taxa by Franz Xaver Fieber (1808-1872). Library stamp on the front flyleaf, title page and two text pages. Some annotations in an old hand in the text margins and on the first and last blanks. Horn-Schenkling, 6567.

1861 vi, 444 pp., 2 lithographed plates. Contemporary polished half calf over marbled boards. Spine with five raised, gilt-lined bands. Red morocco labels with gilt title. An early revision with detailed descriptions and several new taxa by Franz Xaver Fieber (1808-1872). With the bookplate of Alfred O. Walker (depicting a bird and a snake biting his tail). Title with small blindstamp. Front hinge almost loose. A bit foxed in the margins, more extensive towards the beginning and end. Plates clean. Horn-Schenkling 6567.

1875-1879 567 p., 15 lithographed plates, later half calf over blue boards (spine somewhat rubbed, one joint partly cracked, weak). The author died before the completion of this work and apparently his manuscript in German was translated by Ferdinand Reiber and first published in the Revue et Magasin de Zoologie. A few other parts were issued after these three, and complete copies have 17 plates. Bookplate on front paste-down. Old repair to one plate. Last 12 pages pages repaired (on bottom corners). Scattered foxing to the text and a few plates. Horn-Schenkling II, p.40-41. Rare.
Monograph of the South American Weevils of Conotrachelus (Curculionidae).
1940 [4], 365 p., 56 figures, frontispiece, original cloth with gilt author/titles on spine. Library stamps, else very good copy.The frontispiece shows fine drawings of nine new species. The text illustrations are fine, large dorsal views of these beetles, who are of economical importance, many species being serious fruit pests. Despite the English title, this work by the German entomologist Karl Fiedler was written in German. The work was completed, but not published, just before WWII.
