‎Édition originale du numéro de mai 1775, tome 5e, de cette revue dirigée par l'abbé Rozier. Il est, entre autre, composé de contributions en histoire naturelle de Bonnet ("Second mémoire [...] sur les abeilles) et Pasumot ("Observation sur un nouveau fossile"), de chimie par Lavoisier ("Mémoire sur la nature du principe qui se combine avec les métaux pendant leur calcination [...]") ou encore de physique par Comus ("Nouvelles expériences électriques"). In fine, se trouvent deux première planches gravées par Billé, une planche représentant une boîte fumigatoire, dite "boîte-entrepôt" pour le secours de noyés ainsi qu'une autre des divers instruments qu'elle contient. La troisième planche (reliée en deuxième place) est composée de plusieurs figures relative à l'article sur l'hygromètre de Duluc, le fossile de Pasumot et le schéma des alvéoles hexagonale des abeilles de Bonnet. La revue Observations sur la physique a été créée par Gautier d'Agoty en 1752, interrompue pendant quelques années, et reprise par Rozier à partir 1771. Elle continuera à paraître jusqu'en 1823. ‎Summary The ancient city of Palmyra is, rightly, famous for its major monumental architecture and its vast corpus of funerary portraiture, most of which dates from the first three centuries AD. This material has long been central to art-historical, archaeological, and epigraphical studies of the region. However, up to now, relatively little attention has been paid to the 'small stuff' from Palmyra ? seemingly minor items such as the enigmatic local coinage and the richly iconographic banqueting tesserae found scattered across the city's sanctuaries ? which has never been comprehensively studied, but may have had huge importance for the people who lived in Roman Palmyra.
