‎De tentoonstelling Zulma. Muze en manager is een ultiem eerbetoon aan deze uitzonderlijke vrouw die voor Roger Raveel niet alleen zijn muze, maar eveneens zijn manager 'avant la lettre' is geweest. Haar naam blijft dan ook eeuwig verbonden met het werk van Raveel. Het is niet meer dan gepast om haar in het jubileumjaar van het Roger Raveel Museum te eren: zonder Zulma geen Raveel, zonder Zulma geen museum. Het verhaal wil dat naast elke belangrijke kunstenaar een sterke vrouw staat. Zoals Georgette was voor Ren Magritte, Nel voor Rik Wouters, Gusta voor Gust. De Smet en Marthe voor Pierre Bonnard, was Zulma de vrouw naast Roger Raveel. Zulma De Nijs was alles voor Raveel. Of zoals Hugo Claus het in die ene regel uit zijn gedicht Voor de poortneerschreef: "Aanwezig zijn, dat is voldoende". En dat is ze geweest, zowel in het leven als het oeuvre van de kunstenaar. Al in het vroege werk van Raveel is ze duidelijk herkenbaar. Zij was het die model stond voor intussen klassiek geworden schilderijen als Vrouw met rode arm (1949), Vrouw met revolver (1950) of Vrouw met opsmukspiegeltje (1953). Ook later was het nauwelijks bij te houden hoe dikwijls Raveel haar al dan niet 'en face' op tekeningen, etsen en schilderijen heeft afgebeeld. Hij hoefde er nauwelijks nog bij na te denken. Vanuit de losse pols wist hij haar trefzeker te portretteren. Zulma aan tafel, aan het kaarten, een kruiswoordraadsel aan het oplossen, aan het raam kijkend naar het atelier, enzovoort. Nagenoeg haar hele leven was van Raveels kunstenaarschap vervuld. Ze nam het altijd voor hem op, vocht in de beginjaren tegen de miskenning van zijn werk en aarzelde niet sommige critici de mantel uit te vegen. De jaren hebben haar uiteindelijk gelijk gegeven. De tijd blijft in alle opzichten de meest eerlijke criticus.‎

‎Summary In addition to providing invaluable insights into material culture, the configuration of social structures, and the legal customs of the period, the diplomas drafted in Catalonia during the High Middle Ages (9th-12th centuries) constitute an invaluable linguistic source. They bring together elements of Latin from the Roman era, particularly its late variant, Christian Latin, Vulgar Latin, and early pre-literary Catalan. This combination gives rise to a series of linguistic innovations that characterize a Latin which, despite being a learned language, exhibits features more typical of a living speech. Framed within the research project of the Glossarium Mediae Latinitatis Cataloniae (GMLC), this volume offers a study of 112 lexical innovations in the semantic field of trades identified in these sources. The analysis of these terms -many of which are loans, either Latinized or not, from Catalan- sheds light on the activities through which artisans, peasants, merchants, and others contributed to the development of medieval Catalan society. The findings are presented in the form of lexicographical entries, providing the reader with a comprehensive analysis of the etymological, semantic, morphological, and evolutionary aspects of each term, alongside other extralinguistic data of interest. IX-XII) son una fuente de incalculable valor por su lengua, que resulta de integrar el lat n de poca romana, sobre todo en su variante tard a, con el lat n de los cristianos, con el lat n vulgar y con la lengua catalana preliteraria. Esta mezcla genera toda una serie de innovaciones ling sticas que singularizan un lat n que, a pesar de su condici n de lengua aprendida, presenta rasgos m s propios de un habla viva.
