‎Traduction : Le présent volume couvre l'émergence et le perfectionnement de l'architecture gothique en 1270, année de la mort du roi Louis le Saint. Il ne s'agit pas seulement des grandes cathédrales, mais aussi des monastères et collégiales les plus importants, dans la mesure où ils ont été conservés, ainsi qu'une sélection d'églises de campagne. Les principales caractéristiques de l'ensemble des travaux de construction de cette époque, dont plus de 1 300 bâtiments sont encore conservés en Île-de-France, doivent être rendues visibles. Le but est de rendre la technologie de construction gothique, les intentions artistiques et les nouveaux dispositifs stylistiques de cette architecture compréhensibles pour le lecteur. Cependant, cet art ne peut être compris sans son arrière-plan historique et religieux. L'architecture gothique exprime la revendication de la monarchie française nouvellement formée dans son lien avec la réforme de l'Église et l'essor de la science. Par conséquent, les limites géographiques ont été tracées en fonction de la croissance des terres de la Couronne française. La cathédrale occupe la place la plus prestigieuse parmi toutes les autres tâches de construction, ne serait-ce qu'en raison de sa taille: son modèle se reflète dans les monastères, les églises et les chapelles. En plus des fonctions religieuses telles que la célébration de certaines coutumes liturgiques ou des pèlerinages, il devait remplir avant tout des fonctions politiques: la liberté de la cathédrale pouvait être un centre public, la justice pouvait être prononcée ici, des marchés tenus ou la connaissance universelle pouvait être transmise à L'école secondaire. Cette variété de fonctions a naturellement un effet sur la conception des différents composants. La cathédrale comme porteuse de sens - sous cet aspect, toutes les questions individuelles de cette partie sont subsumées. La deuxième partie est consacrée à l'histoire de la cathédrale gothique. Les sujets primordiaux ici sont leur position historique de l'art et leur appréciation artistique. Chaque construction est analysée en détail en fonction de la disposition spatiale, de la conception de l'ensemble et des pièces individuelles, et de la technologie de construction. Cela se fait sur la base des prérequis politiques, économiques et historico-culturels. La dernière partie montre l'importance historique de la cathédrale. Ici, le développement de la planification de la construction et de l'organisation de la construction est expliqué à l'aide de l'exemple des grands bâtiments. D'autres sujets individuels dans cette partie sont le développement de la profession d'architecte moderne, le changement dans la conception et la perception architecturale, l'intérieur gothique et ses effets, l'imitation de la nature et de la géométrie en tant que principes de conception artistique, l'architecture en relation avec les autres arts. ‎Summary The dirhams of M ngke Kh?n represent the first major emission of silver coinage in Georgia following the Mongol conquest roughly a generation previously. Struck in the Georgian capital city of Tiflis (modern Tbilisi) from the middle of AH 652 to perhaps as late as the first month of AH 660 (AD 1254-1261), these coins circulated widely throughout the South Caucasus and adjacent areas. This coin type was the first in Georgia to provide a date formula with both the month and year of the Islamic calendar. The placement of the date formula in the four marginal segments of the reverse of the coin means that parts of it are often struck off the flan or effaced on individual specimens. The problem is compounded by poor Arabic calligraphy on many coins, leading to much confusion in the literature about the extant dates. However, using secondary design features such as the varying central obverse and reverse decorative elements, this book creates a systematic framework for dating these dirhams, identifying previously unpublished dates and varieties in the process. The first in-depth monograph on this popular and historically important coin series, this book will be a valuable resource for both scholars and collectors interested in Georgian, Mongol, and Islamic numismatics.
