Cette répétition infatigable du sujet, de la forme, de la matière, est devenue la matrice de son processus sculptural et pictural, qui met en jeu les qualités uniques de chacune de ses oeuvres. Comme elle l'a écrit, c'est "les yeux fermés" qu'on voit le mieux. Elle explore ses sujets par de subtiles et constantes variations, d'une oeuvre à l'autre, jouant des échelles, des formes et des formats, des matières et matériaux, des couleurs et des effets de surface. En un sens, elle s'attache à matérialiser le réel dans tous ses états, dans sa nature profonde, laquelle nous échappe. Première monographie et exposition de cette artiste incontournable de la scène artistique italienne, qui n'a pas bénéficié d'exposition majeure en France depuis trente ans. ‎Heike Langsdorf, Christophe Meierhans en Christoph Ragg vormen al tien jaar samen het Brusselse performancecollectief C&H. Hun laatste werk was een groots opgezet stadsproject, Postcards from the Future, dat van september 2010 tot en met juni 2011 plaatsvond in negen erg verschillende Brusselse wijken. Voor elke wijk werd een portret gemaakt in de vorm van een performance in de publieke ruimte. Elk van die performances werd aangekondigd door een postkaart die vooraf breed in de stad werden verspreid. Bij het maken van deze portretten werkte C & H telkens nauw samen met wijkbewoners. Zo kwamen zij op hun pad Europarlementariërs tegen, theaterdirecteurs, daklozen, marktkramers, sociaalwerkers, blinden, ambtenaren, nieuwe Brusselaars,. Het boek vormt een epiloog bij dit stadsproject. Het biedt een overzicht van de negen postkaarten en performances en blikt daarnaast ook kritisch terug op de hybride artistieke praktijk die eraan ten grondslag lag.‎
