‎ reprint du tract de 1966, édition de 1995 Contents, Chapitres : De la misère en milieu étudiant considérée sous ses aspects économique, politique, psychologique, sexuel et notamment intellectuel et de quelques moyens pour y remédier est un pamphlet politique écrit « par des membres de l'Internationale situationniste et des étudiants de Strasbourg » en 1966 (première édition : A.F.G.E.S., novembre 1966) qui provoqua le « scandale de Strasbourg ». Cette brochure eut une grande répercussion lors des événements de Mai 68. - À cause de son succès, ce texte est l'objet de revendications de paternité, en particulier de Mustapha Khayati, quelquefois présenté comme l'auteur du texte, et même comme le dépositaire du copyright. La seconde édition originale, éditée comme un supplément à la revue Internationale situationniste comporte, en quatrième de couverture, la mention explicite : « Ce texte peut être librement reproduit, traduit ou adapté même sans indication d'origine.» signifiant sa mise immédiate dans le domaine public. Ce pamphlet a généré de ce fait de très nombreuses traductions, rééditions et éditions sauvages. ‎Summary Cardinal Bessarion's great defense of Plato, the In Calumniatorem Platonis, written in response to George of Trebizond's Comparatio Philosophorum Platonis et Aristotelis and first published in 1469, was the first substantial statement of Platonism in the Plato-Aristotle Controversy of the Renaissance. Bessarion, however, had first written the In Calumniatorem a decade earlier, in 1459, without the massive Book III of the 1469 edition proving that medieval scholasticism supported Bessarion's interpretation of Plato and Aristotle. With the discovery of the treatise Notata by the Dominican theologian Giovanni Gatti, we now know the source of Bessarion's new found erudition in medieval scholasticism. Bessarion initially attempted to incorporate Gatti's Notata whole cloth into the In Calumniatorem Platonis, but in the end he exploited it as a storehouse of the scholastic references, quotations, and arguments, especially from Thomas Aquinas' writings, that made up the new Book III of the 1469 In Calumniatorem Platonis. Thus, Giovanni Gatti's treatise played a major, though anonymous role in the Plato-Aristotle controversy for the rest of the Renaissance as Bessarion's work became in its turn a much used authority and source of information.‎

‎Summary John Scottus Eriugena's Carmina reflect not only his central philosophical and theological ideas, but also his literary education and his life at the court of Charles the Bald. This corpus of Eriugena's poetry includes recent discoveries of new items. Works laid under contribution by the poet have also been expanded. De Imagine represents the Latin translation of Gregory of Nyssa's treatise on the creation of man (De opificio hominis), a text that had already attracted the attention of Dionysius Exiguus in the sixth century. Probably a juvenile work, it witnesses to Eriugena's interests for translating Greek texts and in this respect can be paralleled to major texts like the translation of Maximus the Confessor and of Dionysius the Areopagite. Moreover, large portions of the text were paraphrased or directly employed in the Periphyseon and, later on, were used by William of St Thierry in his De natura corporis et animae. This new critical edition is based on the collation of the two extant manuscripts, compared against the Greek text, and is accompanied by a source apparatus that also highlights the reprises in Periphyseon and the parallel passages in De natura corporis. The introduction outlines the contents of the work, situating De imagine in Eriugena's speculation, and offers a thorough reconstruction of the manuscript tradition, which also includes the thorny question of the Greek exemplar employed by Eriugena. ‎John Buridan (ca. 1300-1361) was one of the most influential philosophers of his time. During his long career at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Paris, he taught many logic courses, for which he wrote a textbook, entitled Summulae dialecticae. This work consists of nine treatises. The present volume presents a new critical edition of Buridan's Sophismata based on a collection of six manuscripts and an incunabulum. It forms part of an international project to edit the whole of John Buridan's Summulae dialecticae, the most extensive version of which consists of nine treatises (tractatus). The treatise on sophisms is the ninth treatise of the Summulae dialecticae and deals with most of the major subjects discussed by the fourteenth century logicians (signification, supposition, appellation, truth-conditions, insolubles, etc.). Although it illustrates how some of the theorems of the preceding treatises may be put to use, it can not be considered a systematic practical companion to the preceding collection of theorems.
