‎Nouvelle édition, après la première parue en 1835 (semblant être la troisième issue) et illustrée d'un titre gravé avec une vignette du chateau Gaillard et de 61 hors-texte sur acier par Turner et gravés par Higham, Brendard, Smith, Willmore... L'ensemble sur velin fort. Le second titre porte un autre titre : Liber fluviorum; or river scenery of France. Reliure d'éditeur en plein chagrin maroquiné vert. Dos à faux nerfs richement orné. Titre doré. Double filet d'encacrement et triple filet doré d'encadrement sur les plats. Tranches dorées ciselées d'un semi de fleurs de lys. Traces de frottement. Le premier feuillet de garde et le titre gravé en partie détachés. Quelques rousseurs, notamment sur les marges externes de certaines gravures, le texte bien frais sur velin teinté. Bel exemplaire en pleine reliure d'éditeur. Etiquette de librairie : James Miles, Antiquarian bookseller, Leeds. Description des villes, monuments jalonnant la Loire, la Seine et la Maine. ‎Henry G. Bohn, London, 1853. In-4o, lvi, 336 p. and 61 gull page steel engravings. A' edition in a contemp. full morocco binding, gilt borders and roulettes on covers and on the inner part, gilt-decorated spine end guilt edges. Slightly used binding (by Burn & son). Printed ex-libris ex-libris of Herbert and Ethel Reynolds on the interior of the first cover. (The Irish-American lyricist Michael Elder Rourke, 1867-1933, assumed the pen name H. Reynolds but we were unable to trace any other ex-libris for comparison). Humidity stain on the upper margin of eight leaves not affecting the text or the plates, otherwise clean copy.‎
