La présente édition comporte certaines planches à partir des 79 sur 145 volumes selon le thème des lieux publics et commerciaux sélectionnés parmi les négatifs originaux par Tsuzuki.L’édition de Shôkoku-sha était essentiellement destinée à une clientèle des cabinets d’architecte et à leur fournir des exemples de réalisation, et Tsuzuki en a créé une autre qui évoque l’atmosphère de l’ère Showa oubliée. L’auteur de «Tokyo Style» (1993), et «Roadside Japan» (1997), Tsuzuki continue de collecter des détails architecturaux non officiels pour suggérer ce que l’on ne voit pas.(103894)

Ce que ces auteurs pensaient « révéler » au public était encore trop conventionnel pour lui. Le livre nous revendique ici : « Voilà nos Tokyoïtes, d’entre 20 et 40 ans, au revenu modéré, et leurs vrais habitats à 40 m2. Et ils y vivent très bien Dans ce capharnaüm». Etat neuf.Réf.
