This retrospective exhibition at the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, previously held at the Hugh Lane Municipal Art Gallery, Dublin, brings together works from Scott's extensive and prolific career. Scott's formal training as an architect remains a reference in all his work from his early representational works, in the 1940's and 1950's, of still lifes and landscapes through to his seminal works from the late 1960's represented by the extensive Gold paintings series. The exhibition also reflects Scott's exploration of a diverse range of art forms including tapestries, screens and Tables for Meditation. Born in Kilbrittan, Co. Cork in 1921, Patrick Scott exhibited in the first Irish Exhibition of Living Artists in 1941 and qualified as an architect in 1945. Working for leading Irish Architect Michael Scott for fifteen years Scott devoted himself fully to art in 1960. By which time he had already established a considerable reputation representing Ireland at the Guggenheim International both in 1958 and 1960 and the XXX Venice Biennale. This exhibition is a celebration of Patrick Scott's national and international career and is accompanied by a colour illustrated catalogue with essays commissioned specifically for the exhibition. ‎L'expédition anglaise du Capitaine Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912), atteignit le Pôle Sud le 17 janvier 1912, peu après l'expédition norvégienne de Roald Amundsen. Moins heureux que leurs rivaux, les membres de l'expédition anglaise périrent sur le chemin du retour à cause des intempéries. Avec cette première traduction du journal retrouvé par la colonne de secours, nous revivons jour après jour cette tragique et héroïque aventure dans l'enfer blanc.‎

‎Dessins de Gosselin, Kauffmann, Maillard, Pellicier, Pranisshnikoff et Scott Les Puritains d'Écosse (en anglais, Old Mortality), plus rarement intitulé Le Vieillard des tombeaux ou les Presbytériens d'Écosse, est un roman historique de l'auteur écossais Walter Scott. Il compose avec Le Nain noir la première série des Contes de mon hôte. Les deux romans sont publiés ensemble en 1816 sous le pseudonyme de Jedediah Cleishbotham, et non sous la signature habituelle « l'auteur de Waverley ». L’action se situe en 1679, puis en 1689, dans l'ancien comté de Lanark, en Écosse. Horrifié par le sanglant esprit d'intolérance de covenantaires fanatiques, le jeune Henry Morton veut s'engager dans l'armée pour les combattre. Mais il découvre bien pire encore : les forces gouvernementales violent les droits des Écossais, se livrent à des exactions, tuent sans motif et sans jugement légal. Morton intègre alors les rangs des covenantaires. Il tient cependant à faire savoir qu'il reste un modéré : il combat pour la liberté religieuse et le respect du droit des personnes. Certains commentateurs voient dans Les Puritains d’Écosse « le chef-d’œuvre absolu » de toute la production de Scott.
