Marks of New York was one of the leading manufacturers of artificial limbs of the early 20th century. Despite its title 'Manual' it is in fact a product catalogue with ample description of the material and many testemonies of their users.--(Lower corner of pp. 177/78 gone with loss of 2 or 3 letters; from pp. 51/52, 2 figures are clipped; pencil annotations at first paste-down and fly-leave).
