Chemise cartonnée d'origine, avec titre calligraphié sur le premier plat, maintenue dans une presse composée d'une planche d'acajou, de lanières de cuir et d'une poignée de transport.‎

‎Emouvant herbier réalisé par Fanny Levillain de Canisy dans la Manche en 1884. Il est constitué de 58 feuillets cousus ensembles aux extrémités dont 11 de texte calligraphiés de sa main à l'encre noire, donnant les différents ordres: Malvarres, Violariées, Papavéracées, Labiées, Ombellifères, Légumineuses, Renonculacées, Graminées, Géraniacées, Crucifères, Jasminées et 47 feuillets garnis de 1 à 10 spécimens séchés, contrecollés, titrés et légendés à l'encre ou au crayon de leur nom vulgaire : Fougère commune, illet Poète, Guimauve, Pavot Coquelicot, Valériane, Réséda, Mercuriale, Euphorbe, Liseron, Campanule, Digitale, Sauge, Bugle, Germandrée, Origan, Chardon, Salsifis, Pissenlit, Marguerite, Camomille, Absinthe, Gerbe dor, Bluet, Seau de Salomon, Aspérule Odorante, Véronique, Bruyère commune, Ciguë, Carotte, Fumeterre, Millepertuis, Fraisier, Cerisier, Ronce, Boule de neige, Sureau, Fleur dOranger, Oseille, Sarazin, Acacia, Luzerne, Bouton dor, Pied dalouette, Cassis amer, Géranium sauvage, Capucines ainsi que quelques algues marines. A touching herbarium created by Fanny Levillain of Canisy in La Manche in 1884. It consists of 58 leaves sewn together at the ends, 11 of which are in her handwriting in black ink, listing the various orders: Malvarres, Violariaceae, Papaveraceae, Labiatae, Umbelliferae, Leguminosae, Renonculaceae, Gramineae, Geraniaceae, Cruciferae, Jasmine and 47 leaves with 1 to 10 dried specimens, laminated, titled and captioned in ink or pencil with their common name: Common fern, Poetic carnation, Marshmallow, Poppy, Valerian, Reseda, Mercurial, Euphorbia, Bindweed, Bellflower, Foxglove, Sage, Bugle, Germander, Oregano, Thistle, Salsify, Dandelion, Daisy, Chamomile, Wormwood, Golden sheaf, Bluet, Solomon's bucket, Sweet woodruff, Veronica, Common heather, Hemlock, Carrot, Fumitory, St John's wort, Strawberry, Cherry, Bramble, Snowball, Elder, Orange blossom, Sorrel, Saazin, Acacia, Alfalfa, Buttercup, Larkspur, Blackcurrant, Wild geranium, Nasturtium... as well as a few seaweeds.
