En postface, Laurent Bonelli, spécialiste des politiques sécuritaires, montre qu'en un siècle ce n'est pas la violence des jeunes qui s'est accrue; c'est notre incapacité d'y faire face autrement que par le recours à des institutions toujours plus répressives.
