‎Written by Peter Jones (1802-1856), a Methodist missionary of mixed Ojibwe and Welsh descent, this work stands as a remarkable insider account of Ojibwe culture, traditions and history. Jones, also known as Kahkewaquonaby, was one of the first Indigenous authors published in Britain, giving this volume an exceptional ethnographic and literary significance. Ch-3B ‎
