First English edition. (Red cloth covered boards with embossed design, spine gilt). Both ladies were prolific writers and mrs Bremer a keen and thorough observer. The voyage also went to Chamouni, Mer de Glace, Mont-Blanc & Monte Rosa... (tha was) the last point which I visit within the realm , and I am so to be accompanied to Monte Rosa by both my youg sisters, Louise and Nancy, from my beloved home beside the Living Waters. (compresi antiporta e frontespizio figurato), che illustrano la raccolta di poesie (8 sono di L.E.L.: Letitia Elizabeth Landon). Esemplare ben conservato.

Bel exemplaire.
