(Copenhagen, 1838). Large8vo (230 x 135 mm). In recent half calf with gilt lettering to spine. 9 leaves of text in Danish and German describing plate 1-54 + 52 beautifully handcoloured plates: Plate 1-53, wanting plate 45. A very fine and clean copy.
The exceedingly rare first edition of Walter's famous ""Blomster-Museum"" or ""Blumen-Museum"". A total of 11 Hefts, each consisting of 6 plates and 1 leaf of accompanying text was published. As with his ""Flora eller colorerede Afbildninger af Pragt-Blomster"" it is of exceptional rarity and almost no complete copies are know. The present copy, albeit incomplete containing the first 8 hefts (except for plate 45 and 54), contain a more substantial part of the work than one can expect to find. Nissen BBI, 2102.Christensen, Den Danske Botaniks Historie, Vol. 2, p. 212.
Franckfurt & Leipzig, 1711. 4to. In a nice contemporary Cambridge-style mirror binding with five raised bands and richly spine. Gilt boarders to boards. Traces from small paper-label to upper part of spine. Small worm-tract to upper margin of first 10 ff., not affecting text. A nice and clean copy.
Rare first edition of Johann Conrad Dippel’s commentary on Jakob Böhme. Johann Konrad Dippel (1673 – 1734), was a German Pietist theologian, physician, and alchemist. Dippel's reputation as a controversial theologian earned him both defenders and enemies throughout all of Europe. He would later become connected as the possible inspiration to Mary Shelley’s gothic horror “Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus”.

(København, 1835-42). Folio. (32 x 24 cm.). Samtidigt hldrbd. med rig tidstypisk rygforgyldning. False fint restaurerede.
- Not in Pritzel. - Not in British Museum (NH). - De Belder, 379: ""Of exceptional rarity, this edition is unrecorded in the catalogue of the British Museum (Natural History), Linean Society, Lindley Library, Kew and Massachusetts Horticultural Society. The attractive plates... are conservative in style and reminiscent in both design and colouring of the late eighteenth century.""
