First edition. Kloete Nortier, a pupil of Miquel and Apr. J.E. de Vrij, was a very prommising pharmacist at Rotterdam. Unfortunately, his early death prevented a great scientific career. Through the publication of his commentaries on the Ph. Neerlandica he got involved in a polemic with G.J. Mulder. A second edition was published in 1865.
