First edition of the French translation (The Ancient Physician's Legacy to his Country). Thomas Dover seem to be the only buccaneer-physician in the medical literature. He was best known as Dr. Quicksilver. At pages 20-21 we find the receipy for the famous 'Dover's Powder' (Opium and its derivates among others). The last 42 pages are: CATALOGUS LIBRORUM qui venales extant apud H. Scheurleer, Bibliop.... Rare, according to the Worldcat, only 4 copies held in libraries worldwide!
