‎ Première édition du premier traité de chirurgie plastique en général. Frédéric Philippe Blandin (1798-1849) fait d'abord l'historique de l'autoplastie depuis un temps indéterminé jusqu'à son époque; puis traite des différentes espèces d'autoplasties et des moyens opératoires pour les pratiquer. C'est la première édition sous forme de livre; le texte ayant été publié comme thèse la même année. /// In-8 de 226, (2) pp. Demi-chagrin, dos à nerfs orné. First edition in book form of the first treatise on plastic surgery in general. First published in the same year as a thesis. The author developped a number of new surgical techniques for use in rhinoplasty, and is known eponymously for "Blandin's glands". Garrison-Morton 5743.1 : "The first treatise on plastic surgery in general, criticised by Zeis (No. 5743.4) for its bias against the achievements of German surgeons.
