‎ Première édition. Un des tous premiers livres sur la truffe. Il contient une belle illustration gravée sur cuivre montrant le ramassage des truffes avec l'aide d'un chien. Ce poème du piémontais, Giovanni Bernardo Vigo, "professeur de rhétorique", s'inscrit dans le genre appelé poésie didactique qui était particulièrement apprécié au XVIIIe siècle. Il y décrit la cueillette et l'utilisation de ce précieux champignon. Le Comte de Borch dans ses "Lettres sur les truffes du Piémont" écrites en 1780 écrit avoir lu l'ouvrage de Vigo et l'avoir trouvé précieux pour ses indications culinaires. It contains a beautiful copperplate engraving showing truffles being picked with the help of a dog. This poem by the Piedmontese Giovanni Bernardo Vigo, professor of rhetoric, belongs to the genre known as didactic poetry, which was particularly popular in the 18th century. It describes the harvesting and use of this precious mushroom. In his Letters on Piedmontese Truffles written in 1780, Count Borch writes that he read Vigo's work and found it invaluable for its culinary instructions.
